What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program designed to help people gain a broad and general fitness. CrossFit programming conventrates on constantly vaned functional movements performed at high intensity to achive overall physical fitness so people are prepared for any physical challange.
Greg Glassman, founder of CrossFit, says: ``Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, preasses, C&J and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, pressses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits and hols. Bike, run, swim, row, etc. hard and fast. Five or six days a week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.``

In 2010 I dedicated myself to a healthy lifestyle. I ended up transforming my body after shredding 80lbs of fat! I turned that passion for health and fitness into a career. I started my very own personal training company, Shredfat Inc, back in 2012, and then partnered up to own a CrossFit box. I remember the first time I tried CrossFit, I got my butt handed to me by women and older men, but I loved it. I wanted to come right back the next day and do better. I kept showing up, and you know what? I kept getting better. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before. There was no going back. My love of fitness started early on when at 12 years old, I got my first weight set and began a life long journey that been a source of constant evolution physically, mentally, and spiritually. This love affair led to my career in fitness when I began attending Florida International University in 2001 where I studied Exercise Physiology and played football. During this time I started my own Personal Training Company New Level Fitness and began working at the Downtown Athletic Club. I received my degree in Exercise Physiology in 2006 and gained a wealth of experience running my own business and working at a high end health club. After four years of training over 25 people a week I decided I needed more stability in order to support my wife and three children. I then became a firefighter for Miami Dade County, and during this time I also began my career as a professional mixed martial artist. I did both for 7 years before I got severly exhuasted from the constant physical and mental stress. I left both in 2013 and opened Livefree Crossfit where I can combine my passion of helping others and remain competive at the same time. I am now first a father, husband, and gym owner, who has found balance between work, training, and family.I am currently training to compete in the 2019 crossfit games as a master and are in the process of opening another gym. I am also co owner and C.E.O of Rxnutrition a individualized catering company for athletes.

Born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. I've been coaching at Live Free since 2015 and I and I truly love what I do! Making everyone better , reaching there goals, seeing everyone smile and having fun in our awesome in environment I call my home. I am very dedicated and committed to my training and hope to make Regionals as an individual athlete in the up coming years. Can't ask for a better home with the greatest people I've ever met.
